Our History

The Origins of MR GROUP

MR GROUP was founded by Francesco Ria with the aim of addressing the growing tourism demand in Salento.

In collaboration with Data Sistemi Srl, the company began offering software services and online distribution solutions to help small local businesses compete in an expanding market

BookNowHotel

MR GROUP strengthened its presence in Italy by expanding its team and launching the BookNowHotel brand. This innovative solution, which integrates PMS, Channel Manager, and Booking Engine, was designed to address the needs of hospitality providers.

BookNowHotel has successfully presented at major Italian tourism fairs such as BIT and TTG, earning industry recognition and enhancing the company’s reputation.

International Expansion

Following its success in the Italian market, MR GROUP extended its reach internationally, establishing its first partnerships in Malta and Spain. This marked the beginning of the company’s growth on a global scale.

Revenue Management

MR GROUP expanded its services by introducing revenue management consultancy. By integrating advanced technologies with dynamic pricing strategies, this service enabled hotels to maximize profitability and compete effectively in an increasingly complex market.

Launch of Simply Rev

The company launched Simply Rev, a software solution designed to simplify and optimize revenue management activities.

Fully integrable with leading PMS, booking engines, and channel managers, Simply Rev helps hotels make data-driven strategic decisions, improving profitability and unlocking new revenue opportunities.

New Global Opportunities

MR GROUP broadened its horizons with a strategic collaboration at the Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort in Zanzibar. This pilot project marked the company’s entry into comprehensive commercial consultancy, delivering solutions that extend beyond technology and revenue management.

Over two years, MR GROUP significantly expanded its client portfolio in Zanzibar and Madagascar, setting the stage for the creation of Merilen, a pioneering initiative addressing the challenges of global tourism.

Management Consultancy

After consolidating its expertise in commercial consultancy, MR GROUP took a new step by launching management consultancy services. The company expanded its team with top-level professionals specializing in managing luxury hotels and resorts, with a particular focus on the African market.

This evolution began with a pilot project at the Maharaja Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar, where MR GROUP introduced a fully integrated management model for hospitality businesses.
